Barak Lurie
Barak Lurie was born in Israel, the son of famed Israeli political cartoonist Ranan Lurie. In 1985 he graduated with honors from Stanford University, and then obtained his joint JD/MBA degree at UCLA Law School and Business School. He became a real estate and business lawyer and after working in large firms started his own firm (now known as Lurie & Park LLP), serving entrepreneurs, mid-sized companies, and investors in both business and real estate. Formerly a champion of atheism, multiculturalism and global governance, Barak came to realize the shallowness and danger of those ideologies. He soon began writing about America and its democratic values as the salvation of Western civilization, rather than the cause of its problems. In 2008 he joined the Board of the American Freedom Alliance. Barak, his wife Stacey, and their children, Max (4) and Sasha (1) live in Brentwood.
