The Power of Art: Bosch Fawstin at AFA’s Conference

 In AFA 2016 Conference, Islam

Bosch Fawstin, “recovering” Muslim and the winner of the 2015 “Draw Mohammed” contest, spoke at AFA’s 2016 conference on “Islam and Western Civilization: Can they Coexist.”  Bosch was part of our “Islam in the Culture” panel, and he spoke on how pro-Islam propaganda is embedded in the comic book industry.  He notes that in these comic books, by Marvel and DC Comics among others, there are numerous Muslim superheroes, and points out that

in promoting muslim superheroes, they are promoting a religion that sanctions misogyny, censorship, Jew-hatred, homophobia, wife-beatings, beheadings, honor killings, pedophilia, “child marriages,” murdering infidels, etc.  They are promoting evil within a superhero genre that was supposed to be about good vs. evil.

The power of art ought not be underestimated, and Bosch has been waging war on this front with his Pig Man comic book series.
