American Freedom Alliance mourns the sudden passing of its founder and president, Avi Davis.
He was a great friend, a truly fine man, and an intellectual powerhouse whose sudden loss we all feel acutely.
Avi and this organization have been a tremendous force for freedom, and the Board of Directors of AFA has been meeting to ensure that this important work continues.  We are committed to the mission, and to honoring Avi.
Recently, Avi had written this:
Happiness comes in life not by wanting but by giving; and then, of course, by expressing gratitude and humility for whatever small portion of good luck we are privileged to enjoy as a result. To BE happy, in the end, is to be grateful - thankful for our extraordinary good fortune to be alive.
If this is the case, and we believe it to be, Avi Davis must truly have been one of the happiest of men, and we are grateful to have known him.
Roger Simon of PJMedia wrote this moving tribute, and this In Memoriam piece was written by Adelle Nazarian from Breitbart.com.

About the Film:

Behind closed doors scientists have breached the genetic codes that separate the individuality of animal and plant species.

In the area of food production, new hybrid plant species have been scientifically engineered, with their derivative products
commonly appearing in our supermarket shelves.

But quietly, for two decades, scientists have taken the knowledge of genetic engineering to a frightening new level;
merging animal DNA with human DNA, creating the potential and unthinkable reality of super human non-human entities. These
developments along with their looming and terrible consequences, are often held back from the public.

Have we opened a sealed door; a kind of Pandora’s Box, that was never intended to be opened?

This important documentary examines all of these issues through the eyes of experts.

To be followed by a paneliscussion featuring Sharon and Derek Gilbert and Wesley Smith

Biographies:

Wesley J. Smith is a lawyer, award winning author and Senior Fellow at the Discovery Institute’s Center on Human Exceptionalism. He is the author of several books including A Rat is a Pig is a Dog is a Boy: The Human Costs of the Animal Rights Movement (Encounter, 2010) and Culture of Death: The Assault on Medical Ethics in America (Encounter Books, 2001).

Sharon and Derek Gilbert

Sharon and her husband Derek are the remarkable talents behind PID Radio and View from the Bunker, two popular internet radio programs that helped to pioneer 'netcasting' and draw faithful audiences from across the globe each week.

Long before meeting Derek online in 1997 (ask her about it sometime), Sharon studied opera theater at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, singing roles as diversified as the evil but doomed 'Witch' from Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, to the sullen and secretive 'Secretary' from Menotti's The Consul, and the befuddled 'Miss Todd' in another Menotti favorite, The Old Maid and the Thief.

As if music weren't enough, in 1994, Sharon earned a top-honors degree in biology with molecular emphasis from James D. Watson's alma mater, Indiana University. She is the author of The Laodicea Chronicles and The Armageddon Strain, and she is a contributing author to several non-fiction works under the Tom Horn banner including God’s Ghostbusters and Pandemonium’s Engine. She scours the net for news and tidbits for the Gilbert House online Christian news site, PID News.
